Bookcase Love

I know I've blogged about bookcases several times, but I just can't help it! I love built-in bookcases. I think they look so classic, and are so handy! It's nice that they look "attached" to the wall, instead of being an obvious Ikea buy. Here are a few intense, built-in bookshelves that knock my sandals off (sandals, because it's summer, and I'm not wearing socks):

I know the first picture isn't really a bookshelf, more shelves than anything else, but it was so cool I couldn't help but put it in!

Wedding Cutesies

I found some other precious pictures of some wedding ideas, and I couldn't resist sharing them!

A guest book sign in! How cute is that?! I think it is so sweet and precious.

Such a cute engagement session idea! I also love the vintage-style clothing the couple is wearing. All the little details make a fun photo!

Bedroom Inspiration

Sometimes, I see pictures of bedrooms that I think are perfect in every way, and if only it could be mine... And then there are bedrooms where I see one piece, one little aspect that I love, and want to incorporate into a future bedroom. Here is a mix of a few I have fallen (completely or partially) in love with:

This picture is from Young House Love. See how the walls seem to be built around the bed? Well, actually, those are Ikea closets, covered with curtains! I love this idea. What a space user/saver.

I love several things about this room (such as the amazing wood floors), but my true favorite, close-to-my-heart aspect of this picture is the how the bed frame comes out to make a bench. I can imagine myself sitting there putting my shoes on!

I know this isn't really a "room," but I love the colors! And the clock! I am in love with gray and yellow (and light blue). Doesn't that bed look so comfy?

Remember what I just said? Gray and yellow, baby, gray n' yellow. Don't those curtains just pop?! And check out the fancy schmancy light fixture...

What I love in this picture are the candle holders on the wall. Aren't those the coolest?! Each has a unique placement of the candles (or most do) and the little tea lights add such a fun aspect to the wall.
Please excuse the unformed, short sentences this next picture induces:

Headboard. Colors. Headboard. Coral. Light blue. Patterned pillows. Headboard.

I love the wood. Love it. It gives this room such a modern feel!

Very Rarely

Do I do this, but I'm going to post about light fixtures. I know, I know. But it's going to happen. Here are some really cool light fixtures I have found!

So interesting how a light fixture can make or break a room. And I noticed I put in a lot of pictures of kitchens with chandeliers in them. But hey, you only live once, right? Why not have a chandelier in the kitchen? Seriously, guys, why not....

I'm Baaaaa--cccccckkkkk

(Imagine that with a Chucky-esque ring to it.)

Anyway, finals are OVER! I am freeeeee! FREE! I don't know if I've ever been this happy to be at home. And since I'm at home, I get to blog like there's no tomorrow. I have to get back into the "swing" of blogging, but I'll try my bestest for you guys. Today, I had lunch with my sweet friend J, who is getting married in July. I am one of her bridesmaids, and this afternoon we talked about wedding stuff for what seemed like hours! I am so excited to see J & Z get married, and have a wonderful life together. So, because of lunch today, I naturally have weddings on the brain. One of my favorite parts of a wedding is the send off, and I found some really creative, fun ideas!

Confetti!

Glowsticks! This pic is from a wedding from some friends of ours, W & D. Love the glowstick idea!

Okay...now how can you NOT love that? A paper airplane send off? SO fun!

Album of the Week: Draw the Line

David Gray always makes amazing albums, so it's hard to choose what to listen to!

It's Dead Week

And I want it to be summer SO badly! Finals are next week, and all I can do is sit tight and wait. I feel as if I'm in a weird state, in which I can't focus on studying, but I can't relax and watch a movie or goof off. I can't do anything but wait for time to go by, and acknowledge the growing stressball monster in my stomach. I cannot wait til next Wednesday, when all my finals are over. 8 days. And I'm done.

It can't come soon enough.

I'm also super excited for the week after classes end. Because I will be leaving for Panama City, for Kaleo! This is what I'll be looking at all summer:

Can't. Wait.

I also can't wait for the shopping trip I'm going to take as soon as classes are finished. I need to buy some summer clothes for the beach, no?  I found this awesome website called Polyvore, where you can basically play "dress up" and create outfits. I know it seems ridiculous and childish, but it's actually great! That way, when I go into a store, I can shop with intention, for an outfit I know I want. I can find the pieces I want, and presto! I have the outfit I created online. Plus, Polyvore links every item to the store website, so you can buy it right there! Pretty nifty.

I have one more little tidbit to leave you:

Hopefully, I'll be able to post before the end of finals. However, no guarentees!
Ah, the life of a college student.

Happy Tuesday!

Oh So Kitch-y

I know, I know. I spelled it wrong. But I did it on purpose. Ha. Because I think it's high time for some kitchen posts! See? My posts may span a couple days, because I have so many beautiful pictures to show you! (Plus, if I spread it out, then I can post for days and days about the same thing...tee hee.)

First: chalkboard walls! I would love to put a small chalkboard wall of something in my house. It would be so fun! I like this idea that several other people have had...

Okay...is that not a bucket of fun?! Plus, I love the idea of not wasting a ton of paper on grocery lists. You know how it goes: roommate realizes you need dishwasher detergent. Takes the list down from the fridge, writes it down, then doesn't put it back on the fridge because she ran to answer the door for the Publisher's Clearing House people. After all the festivities, the counter is covered in confetti, and your grocery list can't be found anywhere. So you have to start a new list, because you realize you need ice cream, and all it's toppings, in order to properly celebrate. (And so on and so forth.) And after you run to Wal-Mart for the ice cream supplies, you eat the sundaes, start to clean up, and realize you cannot wash off the syrup that is all of a sudden like glue to your dishes because you have no dishwashing soap. And you and your roommates are up a creek, until someone volunteers to run across town to Wal-Mart for the one item, wasting gas, time, money, and trees. This could have been completely avoided if the list was in a central, immobile place. Like on a chalkboard wall. (Scenario may change according to your living situation.)

This is the dramatic story I plan on telling when anyone protests "why in the world I would get a chalkboard grocery list." It's economical. Seeeeeeee? HA.

Album of the Week: Kaleidoscope Heart

I love Sara Bareilles. I wish I could play piano!
